November has officially arrived and with it our second annual fundraiser in honor of Kristin Bauer van Straten’s (Pamela Sywnford de Beaufort) birthday on November 26! Along with True Blood Fan Source, Television Source, Kristin Bauer Online, Skarsgard Fans, ASkarsgard.net, Eric and Sookie Lovers, and Inspired by Ian will be helping with this month long birthday celebration. The fundraiser kicks off today and will run through December 1st for something very near and dear to Kristin, her documentary Out for Africa.
Kristin, her husband Abri, and a camera crew set off for Kenya in August to shoot the documentary that centers on the upsurge in ivory poaching that has threatened the population of the African elephant and seen the disappearance of the rhino in the wild. Within this story, we are introduced to the people and organizations that are on the front lines every single day trying to save more animals from meeting the same fate.
The Kickstarter campaign Kristin finished running back in August helped her get to Africa to shoot. But to finish it will require even more support, which is where we come in. This year, we will be not setting a finite goal for how much money we want to raise. Instead we’re aiming for as much as possible because finishing a film is expensive!
To accomplish that goal we’re bringing back our giveaway with lots of prizes including:

In addition to our giveaway prizes there will be several other ways to contribute as well. We’ll be adding items into the True Blood Fan Source store that you can buy, such as our “Blood Sucker” wristbands and all items sales will go to Out for Africa.
Our friends Inspired by Ian will be selling plushies that will benefit Out for Africa in their store as well. Not to mention we’ll be auctioning a few items off!
After our fundraiser ends, the funds will be given to Kristin along with a card with the names of everyone who contributes no matter what format you choose to support Out for Africa.
